What's the best way to throw horseshoes? Please tell me.

Hi Jeffery,
I think the best way to pitch horseshoes is to use a turn. If you pitch from 30' then the flip is also a good method. I have an instructional video if you are really interested.

Hello Walter Ray, we really enjoy for bowling and horseshoe prowess here in Delaware. Could you please answer one question? In horsehoes, is it permissible to stand inside a six foot square sand horseshoe pit to deliver a throw? Some say yes and some say no.

NO

How do I get a consistant release on the upswing of my shoe release? I always try to improve my pitching technique. congrats on all of your pro bowling titles, you are my hero. Keep rolling along. Sincerely,Rich Denver

Hi Rich,
Practice is how you get consistent at anything. I think a good follow through helps a lot. I am still working on having a better release and follow through. Thanks.

I was playing horseshoes the other night with my friends and I threw 13 ringers in a row. That got me to wondering, what is the record for most consecutive ringers? If you know the answer to this question I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

Hi Nick,
The world tournament record is 72 ringers in a row. I have had 56 in a row a couple of different times in one game. Between two games I have had 68 in a row. In practice I have had 114 in a row. I don't know what other player's personal bests are.
